During<\/p>\n my time as a laboratory assistant I had the opportunity to get to know and collaborate with some of the lines of work performed there. This is how, with time, my interest in Arthropods and the study of Sexual Selection increased, which eventually led me to want to dedicate my doctoral research to it. This led to the development of my thesis plan “Reproductive biology in Solifuges (Arachnida, Solifugae): an approach from sexual selection”, which covers the analysis mainly of morphological, morphofunctional and spermatic aspects of the reproductive biology of two species of Solifuges, <\/span>Nothopuga <\/span><\/i>sp. and <\/span>Oltacola chacoensis,<\/span><\/i> which live in the Salinas Grandes de C\u00f3rdoba. These animals have been poorly studied, and these species are of particular interest in the field of Sexual Selection as they possess opposite reproductive strategies, where one has a markedly persuasive courtship and the other develops copulation in a coercive manner.
